This archery program presents quality archery instruction and encouragement to provide a unique opportunity for students to excel in archery, promoting self-confidence, respect for others, and a cohesive team spirit demonstrated to others for the glory of God. This program is designed to improve educational performance while teaching focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and life lessons for success in both the classroom and life.

The team offers NASP® (National Archery in the Schools Program) International Style archery instruction, aimed at helping archers mature and participate in regional tournaments. This curriculum is inclusive and does not discriminate based on popularity, athletic skill, gender, size, or academic ability.

Equipment (Bows, Arrows, Targets) is provided by Burge Terrace Home Educators. Team members may purchase their own *NASP Original Genesis Bow, which is the only bow approved by NASP & BTHE. Arm guards and/or other personal equipment may be purchased upon approval of the archery coach.

Congratulations to the 2026 Torches Championship Division Archery Team on their phenomenal Top 10 finish at the NASP Championship in Daytona Beach this weekend. Our BTHE archers made the trip to Florida to end their season ranked as the 10th best NASP high school archery team in America! 

The Varsity Team score was 3261 with 144 bullseyes, setting a new record for our Torches.  More individual records were broken and all our archers shot like true champions. We praise God for His strength and guidance, and pray that we glorified Him! 

May, 2026 - Coach Lucas - The Torches "Cinderella story" continues! We sent 21 archers into a pool of 5,000 for State Finals. They shot like champions to qualify for the next round, and we then sent them into a pool of nearly 15,000 archers for Eastern Nationals ... the best in the nation. With God's strength they did it again and next is the US Championship. We rely on Jesus and each other - that's the BTHE way.
