Our goal is to immerse team members in a fun environment where learning happens through hands-on experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to work as a team to design, build and program a robot using the VEX IQ Robotics Program. Throughout this process, practices such as, documentation and working together as a team will be highly encouraged and learning opportunities will rise from every design roadblock. After the robots are designed and tested, the team members will be able to enter their robots into multiple competitions against other robotics groups in the area, learn from their results and iteratively improve their robot.
Competitions take place on Saturdays. BTHE Robotics Club intention is to attend 3-4 competitions between early November and mid February.
Tournaments to determine the best teams are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April.

Personal finance is a vital skill for high schoolers to learn that is sadly not taught in many traditional schools. This class will give students the tools to look after their money, prepare them for the ups and downs in the economy, and teach them about investment opportunities and the importance of balancing saving, spending, and giving.
Each module begins with in-class lessons to teach the fundamentals of an aspect of personal finance; they are then followed with application exercises both during and outside of class.
